1. First off, who are you and what genre of music do you make?

My name is Hesston Swenn, and Fossil Youth makes Indie/Emo Jock Rock music.

2. If you had to describe your music with a color, what would it be?

Amber is the color of my energy.

3. What’s the biggest struggle you have when it comes to creating?

I think my biggest struggle would be when I try to force something, instead of just letting it come organically.

4. If you could play any show in the world, what would it be?

The Eric Andre Show.

5. What do you consider your biggest musical success?

I would have to say ranking (#16) on the Billboard Top New Artists of 2016.

6. What inspired you to start making music?

When I was growing up my uncle was always playing in different bands which definitely inspired me to join a band of my own.

7. If you could hear any person living or dead sing to you, who would it be?

Rihanna.

8. Who, aside from any band or musician, is your biggest influence?

Music put aside, Action Bronson is still one of my biggest influences. From culinary entrepreneur to cannabis connoisseur, he’s doing it all.

9. What’s your favorite book?

A Cook Book.

10. What do you like to do other than music?

I thoroughly enjoy spending time in the kitchen, whether I’m creating a dish, or devouring one.

11. Who is your favorite musical artist?

The Rolling Stones.

12. What’s one piece of advice you have for young musicians?

Never stop working hard towards what you want, even if that includes sleeping on a few floors.

13. Lastly, what’s your lucky number?

420.
